On the 17th day of March, before me came Warlord Kingphisch to challenge the Baron AJaybird for the honor of holdin' the 2nd ring.

The Baron was seconded by Spikushell and fought in honor of his lovely wife, Lady Sher.

The Warlord was seconded by Duke Leto of Covington and fought in the honor of the graceful Miss Lily.

Both duelers fought with skill and honor. The moves as witnessed were:

KF vs. AJ
TH SH
FCP FDU
TH LC
FSS FDU
LP FLP
TH FDU
FCP LC
LP FSS
DU LC
HC HC
LC SH
HC LC
LC TH

Thus, the Baron successfully defended 'is ring for the 9th time against the challanging Warlord with a final score of 6 to 5 in the 13th round.

In witness whereof I hereunto sign my name and affix my seal this 17th day of March.

Congrats, Baron Bird. I must truly say, that your skill in challenge matches has been certainly unmatched. This 9th match may not nearly be impressive or as one-sided as some of your others, but a win is a win, and the fact that you have have able to keep this up absolutely astounds me. It is certainly a pleasure to have seen you Baron from the day I walked into the arena until the present day.

My most profound congratulations to you, Baron Bird. Once again, you have proven to all and sundry that you are most truely the proper man to wear the Second Ring.
And to you, my friend KF, most excellently dueled. Your skill still shines through.

Lady Drake.

::tacks up a short note::

Dearest AJ,
Please forgive my absence at your challenge match. I certainly meant no disrespect.
I fully meant to attend, but was unable to make it.
Congradulations on your win, my dear brother. I know that you dueled with the grace and skill you are so well known for.
I'll stop by sometime soon, so that we may talk.
With much love,
~Aja~

And to KF,
Well tried, Sir. 13 rounds with my brother says quite a lot about your skill.
May the spirits bless you.
