On this the 10th day of the 5th month, I Daemon Satyriasis did call a match between the Warlady Ellisa Morgan, and the Loyal Baron Adonai Uziel. The posession of the 7th ring was at stake

::Raises his voice above the gathered crowd:: Lords and Ladies It is my pleasure to welcome you all to this challenge match tonight. If you could all find your places I shall begin the formalities.

Making her third challenge for the 7th Baronial Ring is the Warlady Ellisa Morgan. The 2 time Baroness duels under her personal standard, A Silver Dragon on a field of Black. At her side stands Lord Seregill and her Lord of Honor is Lord Dexter Montoya

Defending the 7th Baron's Ring is Adonai Uziel. He duels under a standard of the Valheru, a Black Sun on a Crimson field. His Second tonight is the Loyal Baron Seamus McDonnaugh. His Lady of Honor, the lovey Elle McBride.

Now for the Play by Play:

Ring of Honor Round 1The Baron's Fancy Circular Parry is just the thing needed to stop Ellisa's Lowcut. 1-0 Adonai after 1

Ring of Honor Round Two, Ellisa's second cut high meets with Adonai's bookend Fancy Lateral Parry advancing his lead to 2-0

Ring of Honor Round 3 The Baron goes on the offensive thrusting hard and fast over the Warlady's Lowcut. 3-0 Adonai in as many rounds

Ring of Honor round 4 Adonai puts on the penguin suit, Fancy Ducking under Ellisa's attempted Hi cut. 4-0 Adonai after 4

Ring of Honor Round 5 Ellisa spins left, skirt swirling as she Fancy steps to the side. . .her routine is rudely interupted by Adonai's High cut for the winning point

Final Score, Adonai retains the ring 5-0 in 5 rounds

::takes up a note::

Adonai-
For all of us rising newbie warlords... one question. Is that a record of sorts? A fine match either way. Next time though, make it a wee bit longer? Proper bidding couldn't be made due to the swiftness of the match.

::chuckles a bit::

Nay Roland...I dunna believe that I am the first defending Baron to shut out their challenger 5 - 0 in 5. But as to records....the one I'm sure I will break is the one for defenses as a Loyal....seeing as how the challenges land on my desk pretty much one right after the other.

Roland, and Patrons,

A question that Roland had brought up earlier about mayhaps my defense last eve being a record piqued my curiosity a bit...so I delved into the historys...and lo and behold....according to written history it is.

The closest recorded matches are as follows;

For the 2nd;
AJaybird2 defs Baphelocutis 5 - 0 in 6 Rounds

For the 4th;
HumaDragbn defs Duelist 5 - 0 in 6 rounds

For the 5th;
ErrolFaline defs Valmion 5 - 0 in 7 rounds

For the 8th;
Dexter Montoya defs Walkerboh 5 - 0 in 8 rounds

And for the 7th;
Duke Uziel defs EllisaMrgn 5 - 0 in 5 rounds.

Now....its very possible that I am incorrect, but according to what I have to work with record wise...that is the only perfect shut out Baronial defense in history.

::shrugs::

Who knew eh?

Well done papa! The falling stars never lie.

Adonai...

Yes yes, you set a record... and congratulations to you.
But still let's let it drop, shall we?

Ellisa...

I think mayhaps that vacation you took did you good in your heart and soul, but not in your dueling arm. Here's hoping to see you around in the Arena more often, and mayhaps giving another run at the ring, eh?

Drakewyn,

You surprise me. Its not as if I was tooting my own horn. Roland asked about it...and it was something I thought I would investigate.
I am highly surprised that you would be so careless that a friend had done something positive here.
So do me a favor, and just ignore any posts with my name or the Seventh Ring involved in them...because your starting to grate on my nerves.

Thoroughly Disgusted,
~Adonai

And Furthermore,

If you don't like me holding this ring Drakewyn....you know what you can do about it. I tire of people cheering others on when they claim to be my friends. Ellisa is a grand lady, and an excellent duelist. Twice holder of the Ring I, I, not you, bear. She has always been honorable and dealt with her opponents and friends in that fashion.
You would do well to recieve instruction from her.

While perhaps a bit off point.. The first perfect shutout in a Baronial match was performed by current Overlord Dalamar Ar'Daumon when he wrested the 4th ring from the Baroness Halo. (Halo, by the way, was the last of the orginal 9 barons)

This was a challenger rather than a defense though... I'll have to delve a little deeper to check on that aspect.

Adonai,
Not taking sides, or trying to flame. Please do not take this message as such. You know I am darn tired of people threatening me because of things I say.
However, what I read is what I sometimes do, and i find it faulty. Drake said that this victory was well won... But she felt that when you said you set a new record, she probably thought it would be more tact to have someone else write it. I'm not saying what would be more proper, because I know I'd be criticized. ... Knowing the way things happen to me, I'll be criticized by someone just for writing this (not mentioning names).
Was it really necessary to start attacking her loyalty as a friend, though? Attacking her honor and skill, as well?
Lady Drake is a good friend of mine and Noelle's. She's also the captain of the team I'm on. Though sometimes I feel like I stand alone on these boards, when I "have slight disagreements" with others, I truly am tired of this. Everything said is retorted with twenty times the wording with just insults. I began this post diplomatically, then I actually started thinking...
It's these sort of posts that make the boards red with flames of anger. Posts that are supposed to state your position, yet, it's a weapon. Since when did Drake say that you lacked honor or skill? Since when did she say that she has done this and that, and you should recognize it. One may think she was in the wrong, in your eyes... but sometimes one's eyes can't see the person who's using them.
Attack me, as you have done to Drake. It's your will, and your funeral, for your reputation.

Many thanks Kalamere...the records of the distant past are not as well kept as the newer ones....you of all people would be able to clarify this matter. As I said....its entirely possible that I am wrong.

Respects,
~Adonai
