"Gah!" the fairy shoved away the fourth letter, absolutely disgusted. She glanced to the fifth letter cautiously. Her dainty hand reached for it and her eyes skimmed it.

Her fingers fumbled as she tried to open the front door of 203 S. Gardenia Lane. "Dammit..." she muttered along with some other words. Finally the lock clicked and the door swung open.

Lily hurriedly slipped into the welcoming hall. She slammed the door shut , pressing her body against it. A trickle was felt running down her cheek. It was obviously a tear. Soon more and more fell, streamed down her face and kaplinked on the floor. The fairy couldn't stand crying so she leapt upstairs to find a hanky and stop her stupid bawling.

She yanked an old wool hanky from a nearby hat box in her bedroom and wiped her eyes. They wouldn't stop "watering"! Suddenly she drifted into a sleep.
