This missive bears no surprise. I am Lupton est Dracoern, and there is no doubt that I shall challenge for all eternity. It was just a matter of time.

But, this challenge is not without reason.

It is not a random selection out of a hat.

It has cause.

The majority of Barons of late have been decent. Leto has been removed. The holders of the rings are of fair to superior quality in skill and style.

Excluding one.

Baroness Topaz Eludes, I do hereby proclaim my challenge for your ring. May we meet with skill and honor.

I have a few points to make.

Firstly. Lord Lupton's challenge is invalid... Lady Helix did declare that all peer-wins used in making a challenge must have been posted to the standings board before the time of the challenge.
Secondly. Lady Topaz is hardly an "unworthy" Baroness. During the cycle just past, she maintained a most exemplary percentage when dueling peers, as well as maintaining a sense of discipline and honor in the rings.
Thirdly. If, despite all this, Lupton's challenge should go through... and should he, by some stretch of chance win... You'll have to wait behind me Adonai.
I stand ready, waiting on the sidelines no more.

If Lupton should by some chance win, I wish to claim a priority in challenging him for his ring. I must repay the traitor For it was he who commited a coup of the RhyDin House Lathadoscia and turned my people against me with his manipulations. I have waited a long time to repay him for his betrayal.

If there is a way that I could Interceede on behalf of the Baroness Topaz I would in a heartbeat offer her my blade. For one such as Warlord Lupton should not be allowed any power ever again within the world of RhyDin.

Already the line for my head grows into unreachable space. I am the evil Lupton, who did defend my wife at the time and found problem with the thing who proclaimed he would "torch her skin off." I am so evil to usher away people from a thing so engrossed with power that he punished people of his great House for posting without his permission.
