An honor...
Phil had asked her to stand as his Lady of Honor during his challenge match, against Roland. Jaycy had an understanding of the role... and how it was an honor to even be asked. She also knew a little of the importance of her being there, and the ceremony involved. By the gods, she would play this part properly. Looking around her spacious office, she scowled. "A dress... I need a proper dress." She blinked, realizing where she was. "Well, I
doubt I'll find one here." Shaking her head, she muttered a few choice words, then strode to the door as swiftly as her small legs would carry her.
Closing and locking the door to her office, she moved out into the street, and looked around. There, invitingly, waited the shadows. A smile, and a nod to her not-quite-sentient friends and they swirled about her, instantaneously depositing her in her bedroom, the master room of the Rainbow Palace. Again, she glanced about with that piercing emerald gaze. "No, no... still nothing. And I need it now." Sighing, she moved to the center of the
room, and dropped, sitting cross-legged on the thick carpet.
Closing her eyes, she went inward, toward her center... her heart. It was the place so many had thought was black, the one place where nothing could be reached. But no... there flared a flame within, and she caught that, held on to it, made it grow. This... this was the source of her calling, this was her method of summoning the fiery friends at her call... the salamanders. Finally, in a visible burst, she squeezed the flame within, her call.
A whirling fire sprite appeared, his body only kind-of resembling a lizard. In a soft, silvery voice, he spoke to the gypsy. "My lady... how may we help you?" Opening her eyes, she spoke of her need, of a proper gown, and of the colors. The flaming creature flickered in acknowledgment and suddenly, as suddenly as he had appeared, was gone, as if he had been snuffed out.

Several hours later, as the weary woman awoke, she found it waiting for her... her gown leaning invitingly against a wall, beckoning to be worn. It was perfect... at least it was to Jaycy.
The body of crimson velvet trailed lazily down the wall, waiting for the small woman to slide it on... the sleeves, also of crimson velvet, were full and long. Braided at the hem was pure gold thread, tracing the pattern of dozens of small roses. The neck was high, and had another ring of golden roses, appearing as a choker would. Perhaps best of all, besides its simplicity, for it was a simple dress, Jaycy could feel the familiar tingle
associated with magick, and after a cursory glance using her other senses, could tell the dress itself was enchanted, so she wouldn't suffer from heat, wearing the heavy material in the summer. Beside it, floating in midair, waited a single rosebud, the petals a deep red.
Murmuring a soft word of thanks, the gypsy woman returned to her pillow, and her dreams.
