Second challenge to the Ninth Ring.

Lords and Ladies.

On this eve, after the Baron Lupton's first defence, I was called upon to officiate the second challenge that was placed in line against him.
The WarLady Gloria Blaze of House Atrebla brought challenge to the Baron, fighting for the honor of her dead love Breager... Lord Mathias DeWinter acting as her second. She fought under the colors of red for for love, black for my sorrow and green for Atrebla who gave her a home.
The Baron Lupton est Dracoern dueled for the honor of the Lady Karye PezDragon... the WarLady Talara Locklorn Tyree-Koei stood beside him as his second. He fought under the colors of black and gold, those of the Dracoern Highlands. Before the match did commence, the Baron did declare himself Renegade to the OverLord.

1) ( LC-TH ) The WarLady begins with a strong offence... bringing her blade around in a low arc. Yet the Baron shows little weariness, his thrust scoring first.
2) ( TH-LC ) If truely, the first rounds mean nothing... then the return thrust of the WarLady would not strike so hard upon the low cutting Baron.
3) ( FSS-TH ) The Baron presses his attack, returning to what worked before... Yet his thrust goes wide, for the WarLady swiftly and easily dodges the strike.
4) ( TH-FCP ) Blood is on the minds of the duelers, their thoughts their own. The WarLady again strikes out swift, yet the Baron's quick parry round sends her blade aside.
5) ( FCP-HC ) At times, defence is called for... and yet even the strongest of defences have their weaknesses... As the WarLady's strong parry round fails to catch the cut swung high by the Baron.
6) ( FSS-LC ) Again, the WarLady moves to the defence... and yet, her swift motion carries her to the side, where the Baron's low blade awaits.
7) ( Dk-FDk ) This could spell the end of the match, as defence tests defence... Yet, the Baron's Fanciest of ducks is of little use against the WarLady's simple one... and vice-versa.
8) ( FSS-LC ) We enter the eighth round, the Challenger fighting still, a desperate gamble... And yet, her swift step fails to avoid the quick blade of the Baron, who's cut low takes the win.

Thus did the Baron Lupton defend the Ninth Ring of the Duel of Swords against the Challenger Gloria Blaze by the score of Five to Two in Eight rounds.

Witnessed this Tenth day of the Eighth month of the Ninty-eighth year of this century.
