Aftermath in the Outback

Collie stepped out of the main inn into the outback. It was her hope to catch the end of the challenge match, but what she found was Lily upset and in a heated discussion with Noelle. Collie learned that Lily was expecting a baby and apparently someone had told Noelle.

A fair question was raised amongst Var's protests of his impressionable son, Noble, being witness. Lily had only told one or two people neither of them was the woman in question. Without one of them deigning to answer the question posed by the other, the insult were tossed back and forth like bad salad. Words like wench and Eupo trash spewed forth like water from a broken pipe. Collie could only guess at the meaning of the latter.

After the Medici-Giovanni family left the premises, Collie wrapped Lily in a comforting hug. She looked upon the fairy fondly, as one would a younger sister or beloved niece. The truth came out. Lily was indeed pregnant, but the child was the result of the attack upon her. Lily planned to have the baby, but was unsure of rearing it. The older woman was never known to refuse a friend in need and opened her home to Lily. "Anything you need, you come
to us." Lily protested some at it being charity, but Collie reminded her that it was not only herself she had to think of, but her baby.

Lily had gone to her rooms to rest. Collie had a brief chat with Skyler who had come as Lily was still crying over the arguement. At home in New Camelot a decision had been come to between the Lashers. If Lily decided not to keep her baby, they would offer to adopt him or her. It seemed logical. They had many of their own, plenty of space, and love to share. Collie would wait until Lily chose her path before asking her. When the lady of Navarra said
"if you need anything..." she meant it.
