To everyone, friends and otherwise,

Firstly, I would like to apologize if this post is so insignifigant as not to warrent its own folder....

I only want to voice my own thoughts on the Duel of Swords.....WITHOUT taking aim at individuals or groups, or even citing examples of recent events.

I started dueling here in the autumn of last year, and have remained steady both in my frequency of attendence, and in my rank. Ya see, not to brag, but since I acheived the rank of Master at Arms after four weeks of dueling or so, I lost it only once, falling to the rank of swordsman for a four week spell after 8 months at the same rank...enough of that.... ::he laughs hard as he writes this, having hoped to be coined the king of M@A's since
he started noticing his streak::

I come to the Duel of Swords Arena and Annex because dueling is fun, and the company is good. In fact, while I'm there, be it in placid times as we have had, (if you can think that far back), or in the rather hectic times we've had over the past few months....well, I have FUN. I like kicking back, having a drink, making a new friend, jokin and talkin with my old friends, picking a few fights, grabbing a couple duels, flirting with the ladies
(especially the ones in uniform), and just sitting there. In the arena, I can mingle with the most remarkable assortment of people, nobility, street trash like that Hobo guy, gnomes, elves, satan and his demons, giants, nymphs, dragons, Lexi, dwarves, magical flying wizard's wands, children, old men, pets....its amazing.

I ask you, as a fellow dueler, or duelist if you prefer.... Why do you even bother with the boards? If not for these piles of papers that have been perverted from their original intention, in to vile putrid bile that no one REALLY cares about, we'd have a good time. Yeah, without the boards, the DoS would be a much happier place. This is where all problems fester. Try something new and different, TALK TO PEOPLE. If you have something that you
need to say, or a question to pose, talk to the person. Problems would be averted, and solved much quicker that way.

Now, all this may be silly, as I have never had direct dealings with either the Baron's, or the Overlord (in any kind of official manner that is). But, I'm asking those who agree with me on these points to voluntarily leave their pens at home while visiting the boards, if everyone did this, only official business would be posted, and thusly, less trash talkin'. I have decided that until the new year, unless it is ABSOLUTLY required, I will not
pen a single word on these boards. Ya know what, I'll start a list, if you're with me on this one, simply drop a card in this folder that says so, and make that your last scrawlings on these boards until the new year....I know im not alone here, so show some support, clean this place up, and help it get back to it's friendly roots.
