Two days straight without sleep was finally getting to Cletus, but he knew he had only to keep it up another day or two and he would be able to rest again. He wasn't planning on going back to his homeland, Polaris, this soon, but after speaking with Lexi, he realized he had better go soon. For two straight nights he was up making the necessary
arangements for his swift and unexpectedly soon departure, but he did manage to get all of the arangements made before he cracked. The morning of the trip, he went into the Arena early to post a note to the community saying that he was leaving and what would become of his ring.
After taking care of that, he went back to his home one last time to gather up the few things he was taking and to pick up Terra. The two of them then made the 2 hour hike up the mountain to the Gryphon house. He was lucky to have found a Gryphon to rent on such short notice. Gryphons were scarce these days and a quick one like this was very hard to find. After paying the stable keep the proper amount, he and Terra boarded the creature.
The flight would only last 9 hours. This gave Cletus a little time to think about what lay ahead. First off, he had to talk to his emperor and ask him for what Lexi needed. But this trip was not just about that, Cletus also went to find anwsers to what has been plauging him as of late. With his illness and his mysterious dissapearance, as well as a few strange times when he used magic. Magic? Cletus shuddered at this thought. Never before was
he able to use any sort of magic. But three nights ago, he lit a fire with the snap of his finger, and last night he was able to float a wooden stick over to him but just motioning to it.
Whatever was going on, he was going back home to look for anwsers. Less than 20 minutes into the flight, weariness finally overcame Cletus, and he nodded off, sleeping quietly and as comfortably as you can get on a Gryphon, until they arrived in Polaris.
Swift Departure
