ALL RIGHT! I haven't been in DoS that long, but I can tell you this right now. You barons, warlords, and other high ranking officials are getting way to petty for this SPORT to continue. This was not created for the polititians, but for the general person to come and blow off some steam, and meet some interesting people. I'm apolled at all of the high ranking polititians behavior. And yes, I'm not
making much sense. GET OVER YOUR DIFFERENCES, AND CONTINUE WITH HAVING FUN! ::unsigned::

To the one who hast nae the intestinal fortitude to sign a name

Mayhap if thee be thee seeking employement and ta "blow off steam", perhaps thee might find employment at the Rhydin Power and Light Company fiddling with the steam valves. I do agree with thine comment that thee aire nae making anna sense. Tis thee must first hae a modicum of sense to be able to make anna in the first place.

If thee be seeking interesting people thee might wander to the Red Dragon Inn or perhaps some nice quiet library. If tis thine "interest" be in the opposite gender to thine, do kindly spare them thine company unless thee canst find one ast lacking in sense and intestinal fortitude ast thee hae shown, and then do the community the kindness 'o nae procreating, the gene pool ist already severely polluted ast tis.

If tis "fun" thee seek, thee seem to be right adept at playing with yuir crayons, mayhap thee canst take employment at the Rhydin Nursery choosing colors for the youngsters, but dinna expect to be hired to teach the bairns, tis the Nursery dost hae certain standards. If thee hae the sense the deities didst grant unto a gnat, thee wouldst know that politics ast well as steel be the lifes blood of these ancient caverns.

Tis quite plain thee hae neither the intestinal fortitude nor the honor nor the sense the deities didst grant unto a gnat, yet tis e'en such ast thee aire freely permitted to speak thine mind or wander into the ancient caverns. Tis someplaces thee wouldst nae find anna welcome atall. Perhaps, if thee canst find thine way, thee might wish to peruse the histories of these ancient halls. If tis mere sport thee seek, perhaps thee might consider a game
of tiddly winks or other some such sport and eschew a blood sport.

Helpfully,

I mean it people.

Little dry cedar, some good kindling...we're talking barbecue here.

Hrrrm...let me know if you change your mind.

Jonalyn,

I recently until now, have given up reading your postings or really lending them any creedence whatsoever, but after thumbing through a few of your most opinionated posts, I wish to request that maybe you learn the difference between wisdom and acting wise.
Personally I do believe that you are well versed in the histories and traditions of this place, and while I can hold that in a sembalence of respect I believe its your tendancy to smack people over the head with it that sets me, and diverse others to the edge of wanting to have you murdered brutally in a dark alley somewhere like a nameless vagabond.
As the audience for your highly prejudicial opinions and thoughts has rapidly dwindled to little but a hands span of the people that once held you in high regard, one is forced to ask. Do you intend to flow with the time? Or continue to sit in your ever growing smaller world of people that respect you while spurning all others as unworthy or as amusement for a tiny court of people that think that the Rhydin itself, nay even all the Universe
revolves around them? A general metaphor to be taken as its written and in no other context mind you.
And ignore the firewood comments if you please, its nothing but a way for me to vent frustration about something I can't seem to change or reason with. So with that...I offer you a title to add to your list of titles you have claimed in many, many, many years of sitting around doing little, if anything;

Jonalyn Nenshen-Starfare
Grand Enigma of Rhydin

There, don't say I never gave you anything.

Cheers,

To The one who as Jona says "hast nae the intestinal fortitude to sign a name"~~~

I'm going to assume that you are new to RhyDin, and therefore am willing to make allowances for your lack of knowledge.

Come here to only play, by all means, please. But don't berate the rest of the community for taking an interest in more than mere play. This is our community. RhyDin is out home. We play here.... We work here.... We live here. Your casual and un-informed putdown of what we hold dear will certainly make you few, if any, friends amongst us. I bid you to learn some of the rich history and traditions of RhyDin. Mayhaps your opinion will change if
you do. If not, so be it. Come merely to play..... But again... don't berate the rest of us for taking a deeper interest than you do.

To he that hast nae which to sign a name:

Part of the fun is debating over every minor thing in town. This from one whose involvement in Rhydin has trickled down to mostly TDL and the boards, with only a few occasional duels.

"You barons, warlords, and other high ranking officials are getting way to petty for this SPORT to continue."

Friend,
I believe 'tis known as prejudice to gather the herd..."You," as you are using it in the generic sense, I take it, means everyone of the high ranking persons of the Arena. I can assure you, not every and all of those you speak are "to petty for this SPORT to continue..", if any. As to to the latter..are any of them, "Petty?" Petty ( pet` .i. ) a. small; unimportant; trivial; small minded; of lower rank; Perhaps you are
speaking of a theory where they are arguing petty issues...but I believe, as is their *high ranking duty, they should worry for just about everything that goes on inside the basement. Please, I'd enjoy to hear from you specefic reasons and examples of this small-mindedness...the first thing I learned as a young one in grammar school is to give specific proof for my arguments..I wouldn't see it as valid if it doesn't have a substantial base.
Until then, it remains, to me, mind you, simply a vent for anger, but not a good one, being this is a public cork, and the backroom of your house should suit you fine as a place to scream and spew words degrading the whole system inside the basement. Just don't let those of the community hear that, you, I take it, being a member, and they, should be offended.

Sincerely,
Coron.

To whoever left it unsigned,

Sir/Ma'am, if you want you post to be followed through. Really meant what you said. To be thought about for a while from someone else's perspective. Please, by all means, sign the missive. Please I say again. Please. Have some guts and put your little sorry name on the little sorry piece of paper. Please.

One more thing to point out,
This is politics. Government - Barons. President - Overlord. You're supposed to debate. That's one of the main reasons the board is around. To say what you feel is necessary. You must not understand it. Therefore, you must learn in a matter of time. - Have fun.

Simply put...

There has always been a difference between debate and arguement of the sake of arguement.
There has always been a difference between respectful disagreement and harsh slander.
There has always been a difference between respectful discourse and the littering of insults disguised as conversation.

It's easy to insult someone you don't agree with. It's even easier to insult someone you dislike.
The true test of Honor is showing respect, rather than insult.

M'Lady, thou are right. I shouldst dev into the history to discover more about Ryndin. I'm sure I will change my mind after that.
