I have a question regarding this challenge. I was not able to say something earlier for many things kept me away, but when I looked at Elijah's peer wins, I noticed that one was dated 6/3. When E submitted the challenge, the standings indicating that win had taken place had not been posted yet. I just would like this to be clarified for myself.

If the standings had not been posted yet, then it is invalid. If this is the case, is anything going to be done?

The peer wins were validated by Drake, so it seems like a moot point, no?

This is not the first time a challenge has been issued with invalid peer wins, Zen. Unless something is done, this won't be the last, either.
Maybe they are valid, I don't know. I'm not Drake. However, if the peer wins were issued before the standings were brought up, then they should be invalid.

Well, I'll admit that I was kind of assuming that she wouldn't validate invalid peer wins. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't.

As far as I noticed the Standings were up when I issued my challenge.

She tacks a note to the cork, a copy of which is sent by courier to Master Evermeadow.
Master Goldendust Evermeadow,
A query, sir. I have reason to question the legality of this challenge. Though the duel hast already been fought, tis a question ast to the proper issuance of this challenge. The bona fides listed include a victory dated upon the third day of the sixth month by common reckoning. The current claimant and bearer of the Seventh Ring hast made claim that the official lists hae been presented to the public at the time of the issuance of said challenge
to the then Baron Daelin Dragonsblade. Based upon the current Baron's own words, to whit:
"And so it was that the challenge had come, the quickest ever he could think of. Just less then 35 hours from being issued and 20 hours after his peer wins had been confirmed. "
I do request of thee, Master Evermeadow to state for the public the precise date and time that the official standings became know unto the public. Though the official lists do bear the date ast the seventh day of the sixth month by common reckoning, they were in fact nae available upon that date.
Inquisitively,
Jonalyn Starfare

Since I'm the one being subtly insulted here, I'll make my view known.
When I read the challenge letter, the Standings were up for view.
When I verified the peer wins, they were all verifiable as having been posted.
When I checked the time on the letter, it was after the time I sent the Standings to Golden for him to post.
From this point on, it is up to the Supervisor, Golden, to decide.

An amused smile stealing across her lips as she peruses the missive carefully. Quill to parchment, parchment to hand, she tacks the note to the cork.
Madame Silvertree,
Rest assured, I am nae oft oblique shouldst I wish ta offer insult.

Lady Jonalyn.
I am well aware of that, and I do not believe you were the one offering me insult this time.
I reserve that for some others who have posted here.

Well, Drake. If the peer wins weren't posted up, then they're invalid. I think something should be done about it, or else we'd be condoning the fact that it's okay to challenge when peers aren't technically valid.
I was not questioning your competency, nor your integrity. I do, however, trust Cletus' words in the sense that the challenge was issued before the standings was posted. It is with this that I feel something is wrong.
I hope that something can be done to rectify the mistake, if the peer wins are invalid. I feel that by doing nothing, then there will be some more challenges issued with invalid peer wins, and people saying, "But it was allowed when..."
If you want to take that as an insult, then by all means. I just feel at times how bending the rules at one point will result in a bigger bend in the future, then a bigger bend, until it breaks. I am sure not many of us want that to happen, though I guess some people like to be different.

Very true...but I'm not going to go into this now.

I know, Luc... I just hope that we wouldn't resort to just throwing up our hands and let things happen if they happen.
I honestly feel an example must be set. It's why I was hoping something could be done. I don't know what can be done, but Daelin lost the seventh ring to one who was, at the time notification was sent, not a valid challenger.
It's unfair to Daelin, it's unfair to all who have waited patiently for the standings to come out, and it's an insult to the dying honor that's in the rings.
I don't know if it was an accident, and right now, I don't care. I just care about righting the wrong now.
