:::Long, arrogant strides carried the Egyptian to the cork, a self-satisifed smirk on his face. Deep midnight black eyes, lined with kohl, looked to see no one was following. Slowly, he unfurled a brown piece of papyrus, then lunged a dagger into it's top, pinning it to the cork, covering a mess of Challenge messages and bile-filled insults. The chaos was thickening here. He would now stir it.::
" To all who should care....I have enslaved Jaycynda Ashleana,
and shall hold her as my property until such time as a deal that
has already been made goes through. There is nothing you can do...I
repeat...nothing. Many have tried their hand..and failed..most miserably. For attempting to combat my will, one Cassius Gaius Maximius has sustained agonizing injuries, and a host of others have been forcefully placed out of the way. You know who you are. I leave my message to all....to stand in my way is folly at it's greatest....to attempt it is to ask to die"
Anubis Karos.
:::A grin slowly evolved onto the man's face.....it was good. With that done, he strode away. This would cause the Chaos to explode.:::

He flipped through the newest stack of posts he hadn't gotten to yet. Then he found this one.
A slight cringe.
Yet, he had already known this. And he knew there was nothing that could be done that he hadn't tried.
He could only take slight solace in the fact that due to a bit of quick thinking on his part the other night, he had managed to keep an extra week from being added to Jaycy's confinement.
He sighed and continued on his way, having done all he could do.

Yawning and stretching, Summer nods to Marcus as he fetches her a cup of coffee. "Now it be a mess o' things up there.." she muttered more to herself than to the returning Marcus as she accepted the steaming cup he offered. A smile to Marcus flashed across her face as she lifted the cup thankfully to her lips, but the smile faded as she read some very troubling news. Very, very, troubling.
Abruptly she set the cup down and muttered to Marcus, "Thank ya luv, but I hae ta go."
And with that she left.

The derpressing state of mind pressed against him further as he read the letter. He had already known about this event, but just reading it to create such a picture in his mind made him tremble.
Drey was not in the best of moods. This man named Anubis has surely made it worse. Having met him before, he didn't leave such a good impression when considering the small scar on Drey's left cheek.
After reviewing that notice set upon the board, he sighed and his mood just dropped terribly. He was absolutely miserable. Cas had been hurt, Zen had been hurt from the inside, Marit and Jaycy were captured by this cretin, and Alex is just not the Alex he knew. Alex is not Avery. Alex is not Alex. Alex is not Jarem. He is confused, very confused indeed. Drey's mind was sky high, beaming for something to make sense.
"Who the hell is Anubis?" he grumbled.
Thinking about Alex like that, brought Drey upon himself. Drey was baffled about himself. He was different somehow and he knew it. He did not feel this strange when he first came to the Arena. When he first came he was happy, when he first came he was a man that appreciated friends, and he was a man that someone could warm up to. He is surely different.
"I am not who I want to be, but for some reason I am something I'm not. " he said with a sigh while staring at the notice before departing up the stairs.

Hunter had bothered actually thinking about what Anubis had said. Perhaps he is one of the worst duelists ever. Perhaps he has never faught a true battle...Perhaps.
"Hm...Gotta keep things straight...He's the evil one. I know the truth...I know what I am."
Spending a few more moments to think over the passed events, he ponders to himself about a few things as the day goes on......

She supposed she could call herself lucky. She was allowed to still work within RhyDin; she was still allowed to keep up with her duties. But she didn't think it was out of kindness this was allowed; but out of cruelty. What be worse for the independant gypsy than to be made to be seen among her friends, and to be forced to kneel before her master in front of them?
She had already seen her close friend Marit enslaved; and her other friends hurt over her. How could she face them? No; she didn't want pity. She wanted to die so they wouldn't have to get hurt over her anymore.
She was out on an errand when she passed by the Arena. Pausing, the mention of her name caught her eye, and she stopped to read it; thinking it was a notice of challenge she had not yet heard of. But no, it was him.
Her eyes narrowed as she read the notice twice; then she turned and stalked to the bar. Grabbing the nearest thing, a bottle of cheap wine; she flung it to the wall in a rage. Not only was he humiliating her in front of her firends; not only was he causing them to get hurt over her; but now he was spreading it all over the Arena.
Growling low, she grabbed a pen and piece of paper, scribbling a small note. The writing was uneven, very unlike her normal writing. Perhaps it was intentional... perhaps she was just that mad.
Storming to the boards, she held up the note and slammed the pen into it, driving the writing utensil deep into the cork. For a moment she glared at the note left up, then tore down Anubis' notice of enslavement. Turning, she looked over the empty arena and flung the crumpled paper as far across the room as she could before making her way out.
This was a fight; and one the WarTyger was determined to win. Never again would this man hurt her friends... not if she could help it.
The note reads:
Anubis Karos;
You will die.
It was left unsigned.

Anubis~
Rest assured you are not the first cretin to think himself powerful enough to take this community on and prevail. You will fail, and your life will be forfeit.
Prepare yourself.

The White Duke carefully read the missive posted to the cork by the fellow who seemed to be rather full of himself. He smiled thinly at the man's boasting, and idly stroked the beard that had filled his face during the time he had spent poring over paper work. While he doubted that he would be able to personally intervene at any time soon, he had heard Zen and Jaycy talking at a TDL match.
He would make sure that Zen had whatever aid he needed. Rather than attempt to match the silly fellow for bombast, he carefully set quill to paper after returning to the Golden Ivy Tavern. The missive would find Zen.
