Patrons of the Arena, and friends:

I, Daelin Dragonsblade, having the determined right to press challenge in the three months of this cycle wish to hereby exercise that right. I press challenge to the honorable and respectable Senior Baron Gimzak Stonecutter of the Eleventh Ring. Having already spoken to the Baron, please keep in mind that we both see this challenge as no malice to each other and look forward to an excellent duel. I would just like to reiterate to the Baron and
Council members why I am challenging Baron Stonecutter.
As I have said, I hold Baron Stonecutter in high regards, as a newly achieved friend and a former Housemate (Former now that House Dragoon-Talandor has been disbanded) and carry a special respect for him. I am challenging on the grounds of several reasons..First and foremost among these is that I wish to gain some self-satisfaction, I wish to know how it would have been if I had dueled Baron Stonecutter that night on my Test of the Seventh, keep in
mind I blame no one but myself for the shortcomings of that night..but I just wish to see how the setup Test would have been. Secondly, the Baron has not been challenged for a while and has drawn on one advent, becoming Senior Baron, and is nigh upon another one..his one year anniversary as Baron of the Eleventh. I wish to leave a mark upon his reign in respect to the Senior Baron, either as a defense or the inheritor of the ring itself.
Again, I would like to point out the fact that this challenge is one of respect and in no way have I or will I lose respect and warm-feelings for Baron Stonecutter, and I hope the same holds true for him, as we had spoken the other night. I pointed out this fact again and the fact that we spoke on this before this formal challenge was issued because I know the turmoil and mudslinging that goes on with a challenge, and I would like to avoid that
here..and have what a challenge should be..a Test of Steel for both combatants. I await verification of the adjoined Peer Wins from the Mistress of the Standings, Lady Drakewyn, and word from you shortly after, Baron Stonecutter..Until then, Skill and Honor.

Daelin and Gimmzak,

This should be quite a good duel my friends. It is very appropriate to see, with the actions of both challenger for and holder of the 8th ring casting such a bad light on the members of the sport, an event that casts such a good light on it. As long as you both keep up the spirit of bold competition and bright sportsmanship, this should be an excellent match regardless of the outcome. I wish you both the pleasure of the dance and the answers to all
your questions.

Duel well, the both of you. I'm sure it will prove to be a very interesting match.
However, I think I'm pulling for Daelin in this one.
