Challenge for the 6th
From: aspenminds@aol.com (AspenMinds)
Date: 28 Aug 1999 11:36:35 EDT
Dear Duel of Swords goers,
I have challenged Simini baroness of the 6th ring for the right to wear her ring. I bear no malice, I just wish to have some fun with a friend. The duel will be scheduled for sometime after the physicians will let her out of bed.
Simply,
Aspen

This is sickening. It really shows this man has no cares for the sport other than himself. Is a Baron's ring all he wants? You know not, for he will soon develop a new horizon after he becomes the next Methous. Where becoming such a distasteful imbecile, he will be holding nothing but greed and annoyance. In my seven months in the duels, I have never, and never in my
life, want to see such disdainful, pointless challenge towards one he calls a friend in which, it is apparent it's for the greed upon the rank. This is the man that complains about harassment, this is the man that whines when it's his own fault, and then he issues challenge when it is so filled with idiocy that when he states it for a 'fun' cause, he is lying. And for that, I wish him the worst to the extent of being himself. As ugly as he is, I
don't know how he can live with himself . To hope Simini destroys you to teach you a lesson, to brighten those same horizons, and to settle the fact that you actually have to think once in your life. It's frightening to see a sport scream in shock as to when Aspen or Methous presses challenge. As if they didn't get the message, I don't know about anyone else, but I really wish (in a nice way) the death in the rings and so forth, this Aspen never
coming back. To send a sport on high heels is something of utter displeasure. Again, I wish this Aspen the worst. Where the worst can be spilled to spread further than the word can manage.
Thank you... Much. Have a nice day and 'Go Simini.'

Aspen,
If you "bear no malice" and "just wish to have some fun with a friend," you'll withdraw your challenge until the Baroness has recovered from her recent illness.
I'd also consider taking this time to think about your decision, since it was you yourself who said you "don't want the damn ring" during the brouhaha with the Eigth, just over a week ago. Otherwise, my feelings on this will remain parallel to Drey's.

How can anyone even take this seriously?
It's just a bad joke, and if Simini weren't so kind a person, she'd laugh as she tore him apart.
Fortunately, I'm not quite as nice, and I'll be laughing hard.

Aspen~
I find it purely disgusting that you wait until *just* after the woman announced her illness and her need to convalesce for a couple of weeks to throw a challenge in her face merely because you "want a ring".

Oh, Sim babe...
I am certain your health will return, and when it does, feel free to teach this child a lesson. Personally, I don't think you should bother fighting him, let the Overlord do it.
Reason why:
For a person like Aspen to become a Baron, it should be made as difficult as possible for him to do such.
But wait, Magnus is Overlord. He won't step in. Never mind.
They stick together.

::chuckles reading Gnort's post.... this being one of the times he would have stepped in, had the challengee been a loyal, and asked him to do so... also, being overlord could help, heh :P ::
A thing that I seem to be noticing, I recall that once upon a time even the rank of warlord carried high respects and the person held great pride. Have we simply given up hope on that rank and moved to baron? Hoping to save it from the same fate? Mayhaps we all need to lighten up, and simply have fun. Last I checked this was still a sport, and Personally last I recall sports were created for the enjoyment, with rings or banners, or trophies only
an awarding second. We should leave the bickering to the "head office", hehehe... sorry Evermeadow...::evil laugh as he runs off, though it is all in fun and games::

P.S. Aspen... yer a dummy

Just out of curiousity, who here has as much balls to do something like this?

"If you "bear no malice" and "just wish to have some fun with a friend," you'll withdraw your challenge until the Baroness has recovered from her recent illness."
I won't retract it at this time because I don't feel like it. ((Cycle end is coming up and I still have ability to challenge if I feel the need and I feel like it If I withdraw it my challenge will be against next cycle and that will be the only one I get.))
