Death Notice

Post by DoS Archive » Fri Oct 15, 2004 12:36 pm

From: rhydincoroner@aol.com (Rhydin Coroner)
Date: 05 Sep 1999 01:01:46 EDT

From the desk of The Coroner's Office of Rhydin
Agent Tyluca
The fifth of September, 1,999 years past the common era...

A message to the community,
Let it be known, that on the fifth day of September, between four and six hours past midnight in the year 1,999 Anno Domini, an elderly gentleman identified by this office as Coron of Copacheta has passed away. His person was found within the confines of the basement after being reported by one of the employees of the inn, and the cause of death has been determined a severe stroke that claimed 70-80% of the poor man's heart muscle, and triggered a
state of cardiac arrest; one which the man did not recover from. Several tests prove the attack was brought on by a severe and sudden case of coronary thrombosis formed by a weakening set of coronary channels and veins; simply, the man's heart ceased its duty and failed on him. The only articles posessed by the gentleman at the time of his departure was a Physician's satchel, and a key and deed to a home in the surrounding countryside.

No immediate family has been found of the deceased gentleman; if one wishes to claim a relation to him concerning legal actions/ceremonies and business of sort, contact Agent Tyluca of the Coroner's office of Rhydin, requesting a connection to the case #4346. A morning wake will be held within a weak and the unknown personage shall be given an honourable burial within our office's plots inside Grakewood cemetary, if no family/friend steps in to
intervene and wish otherwise.

Mournfully,
Tyluca Scesfield

Lexi blinks, then gapes at the notice. A large frown creases her lips and she shakes her head. "Rest well Cor. You were a dear dear friend an' I'll miss ya..."

::As she looks at the coroner's message, she chokes back a sob. With a shaking hand she pens a message to Tyluca Scesfield::

I know of no family Cor had, other than those of us at the arena who loved him. He will be sorely missed.

We should all take a lesson from his gentle way and kind nature.

To Tyluca Scesfield,

I have read your notice about Coron...I know he must be who I think he is because you mentioned the satchel he always carried with him. I do not know of any family he may have had, but many of us loved him.

I refer to the case number 4346, and request that I be allowed to assist in, or handle all expenses incurred on Corons behalf be sent to me, other than the headstone that Aspen has offered to cover.

::a shiver courses throughout his body. His jaw drops in almost disbelief, he takes a step back, his pen still in hand. But what good would penning a message to Coron do? He wouldn't see it. Shaking his head, still almost in shock he steps away. Quickly thinking back on the man, a smile tugs his lips tight, though no words spoken::

With Jaycy's death already heavy on her heart, Sid wanders up to the corkboard, sees the notice and gasps. Her hand flew to her neck, her voice coming out in a hoarse whisper. "Oh...no!"

More tears fell down her cheeks, almost surprising her that she had tears left, and she leaned forward, resting her forehead on the ancient cork. Memories of the sweet, gentle man who had touched her life at the hardest moments filled her mind and she prayed for the safe journey of her dear friend's soul.

Upon finding the note he gasped and fell to knee. The back of his hand skimmed over the notice before writing a small, note of his own.

"Farewell... 'Beatle.' "

A smile spread through his lips. He nodded and spoke: "He's resting quite well... Quite well."
