To any who wish to learn

With the kid coming Avery was looking for anyway possibly to make money. Thus, it was only logical that the next step was taken. There had been some of late who had come to him seeking to be taught. There had been some who wanted to learn from the kid Baron. Avery had no problem helping those that wanted it. Truth be known there were many a duel where he made helpful comments in the ring. A telegraph here, a turned
foot there. He had corrected many in the duels, in hopes that they would learn. Yet, why help those to become stronger? Simply, Avery loved challenges. The better the dueler, the better the challenge. To those with open ears, he was willing to help. So, the Letter found it's way to the board.

Community,

I am currently looking to take on several students, to teach the art of dueling. It matters not what skill you have, or what rank you posses. I will be looking at all applications, and choose from there. So from Commoners to Barons, I will be willing to teach. I only ask that those who apply, be willing to learn. I do this to help out the community. To give back the joy I have taken. To bring joy to others.
My qualifications speak for themselves, but I will list them for those that may not know.

Current Baron of the 12th
Former Baron of the 6th
15th person to reach 100 wins in the DoS
Current Diamond in the DoF
Twice holder of the Red Opal Firestar
Mage in the DoM

As you can see, dueling is a part of me. I have reached great heights in all areas. So if you are serious, and wish to advance your skill, send missive. You can either drop a note on the board, or send a private letter to me. No one needs to know, if you wish to keep it private. I will look at all potential students, and then let you know from there. There will be a small fee for the lessons, which we can work out once you are chosen. Again, I would
invite any to learn. For dueling is a learning process, and we should never stop.

What, suddenly the overlord isn't worthy of your teachings, Avery? Magnus would be hurt.

Avery, at this point in my career I feal reasonably confident about my skills with the blade. However my millenia of dependance on steel has allowed me to forget other aspects of the warrior. I have become sloppy in unarmed combat, and have next to no training in the mystic arts.

I would be interested sir, if you would teach me the skills of magery and wrestling. Funds are not an issue. Of course, if you wish to take on only DoS apprentices I understand, however your list of accomplishments seem to trancend the blade.

Respectfully yours,

Casey sat in the Arena, scribbling a letter. Jonalyn had given her a great idea! She was going to teach too, to bring in some more money for the kid and pull her share. She finished and dashed to the corkboard, tacking it under Avery's.

Everyone.

I'll be taking students too, for a small fee. We need the money and I want to be able to help. I don't have all the titles he has, but I can still do good.

Casey Wild Eyes

She read over it and returned to Jona, the bar, her roast beef/jelly/peach/pepper sandwich and orange juice.

Christopher told Avery of the note Casey left. He only shook his head. She didn't need to help out. He would be able to handle things. Anyway, she should be off her feet. The thought of her teaching amused him though. Teaching what? He smiled.

"What should I do Avery?" Christopher waited for the instructions.

"Take it down, throw it out" And so, Christopher ran off to do so. Avery just sat there smiling. He had found a great woman to mother his child.

Haveing seen Caset's note before it was taken down he wonders which would mae a netter teacher. Thinking he'd be more apt to taking avery's offer he decides that if Casey is willing he'd submit as application to both.

Wandering past the corks in a bit of a daze, after the news she learned from the Warlord's Tourney, she spies Avery's notice and heaves a heavy breath. Tutelage, she does need, she knows... but knowing her former teacher is *not* dead, but alive and well...

"Aw, blood'ay 'ell..." she murmurs, and pens the note.

Avery,

An' admirer 'f yer prowess and skill from afar, a' well as callin' a duel 'r two of yers, I would be honored indeed if'n ye would consider takin' m'self on as a student.

Avery I wish to give you my old schoolhouse of duelin as a gift for your noble cause. Name it as you wish. I have a new school almost identical to my old one. It would be a shame ta waste such a well built building. Still has all the rings well kept and the bar and everythin. Or if ya want we could teach side by side I am always lookin fer someone that will help me teach. Good luck to you Avery.

I have two things to say. The first to the public, the second to Methous.

First, this invitation will be closed after this Saturday. After that I will choose my students, and the lessons shall start.

Second, for Meth. When you became a Baron you were clueless. You were like a child that wanders in the night. It is my nature to help those that need it. So, out my own kindness I spent an afternoon talking with you, on the role of a baron. Unfortunately, you only heard what a Baron should not do, and choose a contradictory path. I could never in my life excuse what you have done. Further more I am not foolish enough to teach you to be a better
duelist. You didn't listen to me once, why would you listen now? So far I have gotten twenty-seven requests for lessons. Of that, I will be taking only 4, perhaps 5. I would never take you above any of the other worthy people.

It is are wits that make us men*. It is our wits that make us good fighters. I do not believe you have learned to use your head, and therefore you are not ready to learn to be a better fighter.

Umm, Avery, no offense or anything,

But Methous is dead. Don't know who this imposter is or why he would want to be Meth of all people.

Ah well.

He is dead? Well, then, interesting that someone would take on his identity to write me. Very interesting. Anyway, you know those prickly things on the back of your neck? It's Meth screwing with you I bet.

Those prickly things on the back of my neck are my pets. Don't bring them into this, Avery, or I'll have to proceed with physical assertion.

But hey. the boy is dead, let's be glad he is.
