I'm being challenged!?! I'm the Overlord!?!?!?!
No, that can't be right..."Maxim" must be Chinese for "Magnus". Sounded like part of my last name though...::mutters::

Is *this* how you show your respect to the Community, sir, that you can't be bothered to know the name of the Overlord? Is *this* how you "try", like you promised? Did you ever stop to do some *research* before plunging into this Challenge?
It is disappointing enough to see you actually issue that challenge when you know nothing of the people you're attempting to be Overlord over, but..that's your right to challenge. Now, you can't even be bothered to do some research.
How can we expect the newer duelers to learn a respect for this sport when even a prospective Overlord can't even be bothered to be an example for them?
Disgusted,

Wow Sid,
Being a tad harsh there, huh? I think you're making a big deal out of this for no good reason. ::Shrugs:: But hey, that's me.

Personally, I think there's plenty of reason. How would *you* feel about someone Challenging you when they haven't even bothered to find out your name, let alone *anything else*?
In my opinion, it shows his lack of respect for the entire Sport that he can't even look up names.

How would I feel?
It's simple really. I wouldn't care that he didn't take the time to find out my name. I'd simply face him in the ring and kick him around.
However, the only person who should respond in anger would be Magnus. I simply felt that you were being a bit too emotional about the challenge. Let Magnus handle it. I'm sure he will.
Again, just my opinion.

Perfectly understandable opinion, as well. It's just that I remember back to the last night of the Tourney and I remember his attitude back then, and I still feel lied to when he said he'd try to show more respect for the sport.
Ah well..I guess we'll simply see what happens.

Out of sheer curiousity, how does one correlate not knowin' someone's name with disrespectin' all of DoS?
Had Long Wang Lo correctly cited Magnus' name in his challenge letter, would he be any more honorable, would he be any more respectful ta DoS?
I'd really like ta believe a great injustice has been done here, seeing as how its so much fun ta hop on da bash someone bandwagon. However, Long Wang Lo won a prize in a tournament, perhaps a prize he doesn't even really want, but felt he worked to hard ta waste it. Perhaps if he hadn't won a shot at da OL he wouldn't be challenging at all, and so hasn't taken any time ta investigate who even is Overlord.
Certainly Long Wang Lo isn't da first ta desire being Overlord without caring who he has ta beat ta get dere. So I ask Sidartha how mistaking a simple name equates ta disrespecting all of DoS; and because of her signature, ask what is so disgusting about mistaking a name?

Oh, hell...forget it. I give up. Long is a perfect example of honor and integrity in the duels. Are you perfectly happy now?
My appologies, Jeff, for jumping on this imaginary "bash someone bandwagon" you somehow see.
Waving the white flag,

Sid,
It's really ashame you wave yer flag and quit soon as someone disagrees with ya. Rather, try pondering what made ya post in da first place and explaining yer ideas. It's a novel concept some like ta call debating.

Jeff~
I'll ask you nicely to please stop insulting me. Do you honestly think you were the *first* person to call my position into question, Jeff? No, you were not, so I didn't quit "soon as someone disagrees with ya".
It's a novel concept known as being sick and tired.

Jeff,
You're one to talk considering how you treated Eros for getting your name wrong.

E,
I never remember saying Eros disgraced all of DoS and shouldn't be allowed ta challenge. I just used da point ta make him look foolish because I don't exactly like Eros.
Sid,
Whether or not I was da first ta "insult" or question yer position is irrelavant. If yer gonna make a point, I don't believe its unreasonable ta have a good reason fer doing so.
I never have a problem explainin' myself, like how I'm replying ta yerself and Elijah now.
