Who do you think was the best?

Of all the duelists to ever set foot in the Arena, who would any of you consider to be the best? My personal pick, without question, is Dalamar Ar'Daumon. He set virtually every record for a titleholder, played the game of politics without peer, and was one of the most gifted of duelists, as demonstrated by his multiple victories without the gift of sight.

I would agree. I don't know about politics, I hate politics, but yes, he was clearly the best.

Baron Bird.... no question in my mind. His record may have slipped some after the onset of his illness, but he was a class-act all the way.

Hmmmmm. Ajay, easily. The man is a class act, inside the ring and out. Besides, he is one of the very few people I have never beaten. That gives him an edge over some of those named who I have dueled and have beaten.

AJ, in my opinion. Except in one rare instance, he could do it all by himself.

Gondar - First to make Warlord and be Overlord.

Falon - First to actually win a challenge for Overlord, since Me Monk beat Gondar because Gondar didn't show up so forfiet.

Fantasy RC - First to make Warlord in a Weekend.

Xenograg - First Overlord to reign over 6 months, no Intercessions available during this reign either.

Shadowrun - First to 100 WoLs

Athlstan - First multiple times Overlord to defend title multiple times.

Jeff Oakenshield - Most successful title holder in defenses and has the best WoLs record of the history of the sport.

SHIV BLADE - Future super star of the sport.

These would be the Elite Eight of the history of the sport as I have known them and witnessed them based completely on their skill and ability of dueling, not political or popular view. At least this is who I would views at they Elite Eight in my experience here.

As his slender fingers trace the words a smile becomes present upon his lips. Each post drawing in more of his attention and curiousity for the sport.

Reaching the final post leaves him almost hanging, but he is sure greatful for the little piece of history learned, even if only oppinions.

Strange as it sounds comin from me, and with all the respect I have for my sword brother Ajay Bird of Ballentyne, I must concur that Dalamar gets my vote as the greatest dueling politician I have ever seen.
Never has a man or woman made as many defenses for a title to my knowledge. Nor has anyone come from the deficits I did witness to win.
Though I wished his retirement, I regret the revolving door which has taken his place.
