Overlord Challenge Results....

Let it be known......
On this brisk autumn eve, as the hour struck 9 by the Eastern clock; Lords and Ladies, friends, and patrons of the Dueling Community did bear witness to the Overlord Challenge issued to Overlord Avery Shiv Blade by Renegade Baron Damien Mortis.
Upon acceptance of said challenge, Overlord Shiv Blade did proclaim and exercise his right to the Test of Worthiness. Standing as Champion for the Overlord was the Warlord, Jesse Troyn, who did face in the ring, Warlord Cletus Ganderfald, who did offer to Champion Baron Mortis.
Ring Challenge: Jesse Troyn vs. Cletus Ganderfald
RD 1: Cletus thrust is halted by the stop hit by Jesse. 1-0 Jesse
RD 2: Jesse cuts high and into the fancy lateral parry by Cletus. 1 All
RD 3: Jesse's low cut is denied by the fancy circular parry of Cletus.
2-1 Cletus
RD 4: Jesse fancily ducks under the high cut by Cletus. 2 All
RD 5: Jesse low cuts the fancily ducking Cletus. 3-2 Jesse
RD 6: Cletus fancy side steps into the high cut by Jesse. 4-2 Jesse
RD 7: Jesse low cuts the stop hitting Cletus for the win. 5-2 Jesse
Jesse Troyn defs. Carnage669, 5-2 in 7 rounds for the right to duel Baron Mortis.
Ring ToW: Jesse Troyn vs. Baron Damien Mortis
RD 1: Damien's fancy circular parry blocks the low cut by Jesse.
1-0 Damien
RD 2: Damien thrust the fancily ducking Jesse. 2-0 Damien
RD 3: Jesse's high sail over the fancy circular parry of Damien.
2-1 Damien
RD 4: Damien thrust over the low cut by Jesse. 3-1 Damien
RD 5: Jesse thrust over the low cut by Damien. 3-2 Damien
RD 6: Damien thrust over the low cut by Jesse. 4-2 Damien
RD 7: Damien and Jesse both fancily duck. 4-2 Damien
RD 8: Damien fancily steps around the fancy circular parry by Jesse for the win. 5-2 Damien
Damien Mortis defs. Jesse Troyn, 5-2 in 8 rounds for the right to duel Overlord Avery Shiv Blade.
The main event proceeded without delay. Challenger Baron Damien Mortis and the Challenged, Overlord Avery Shiv Blade did meet this night to determine the Supreme Dueler of DoS.
Baron Mortis dueled under No colors. His Second for this match was Jack Daniels. The Baron dueled for the Honor of his lost arm and did not carry a banner.
Overlord Shiv Blade dueled under the Crimson and Gold of House Oakenshield. Standing as his Second was the honorable Warlord, Cas Maxim. Overlord Shiv Blade dueled for the honor of his wife and companion, Casey Shiv Blade.
Ring Honor:
RD 1: Damien opens this duel as he did the last duel, rounding a fancy circular parry to deflect the low cut by Avery. 1-0 Damien
RD 2: Avery fancily steps back and left, as Damien fancily steps back and to the right. 1-0 Damien
RD 3: As Damien reaches to strike high, Avery thrust under to bury his staff in Damien's mid section. 1 All
RD 4: Damien lowers to a fancy duck, and finds himself lowering into the low seeping staff of Avery. 2-1 Avery
RD 5: Avery thrust and finds air as Damien has deftly and fancily stepped aside. 2 All
RD 6: The staff goes low as the sword, Plague, goes high, Damien and Avery trade cuts in a flurry of motion. 3 All
RD 7: Avery slips into the lead as his staff slashes through Damien's attempted fancy lateral parry. 4-3 Avery
RD 8: Damien cuts low and leans too far, impaling himself on the thrusting blade of Avery for the win. 5-3 Avery
Avery Shiv Blade defs. Damien Mortis, 5-3 in 8 rounds.
Avery Shiv Blade did defeat Baron Damien Mortis to retain his title and crown as the 38th Overlord of the Duel of Swords!!
