Baron's Challenge Result!

It was a normal thing of late, a challenge to a Baroness for her ring by a Warlord who desired said ring and title. All very commonplace and ordinary..... UNTIL.....






On September the 10th, by the reckoning of the calender, the Warlord Slider did come to the Battleground to face the Loyal Baroness Ellisa Morgan for her title and ring. As the announcements were made and accepted, the Overlord, Dalamar Ar'Daumon stepped forward to challenge the Warlord to the Test of Worthiness.

Warlord Slider and Overlord Dalamar stepped into the Center Ring for an Intercession Match. The Overlord was still wounded and limping from a previous wound.... and it was plain to see that he was in pain before the match ever began. The two men dueled valliantly. The Overlord gaining the first score with a fancy sidestep out of harm's way as Slider thrust. The second point came 2 rounds later as Dalamar cut lo under the fancy lateral parry from Slider. Two more rounds passed when Slider again
attempted to impale the Overlord, and once more, Dalamar limped sideways with a fancy trip. The next round saw the Overlord duck lo for a breather, but get cut lo by the biting lo cut from Slider, as his blade bit deeply into the Overlord's wounded leg... and the match stood at 3-1.

In the 7th round, after a pointless exchange, the challenger was lost to the punt beasts.... stolen from before our eyes. As time progressed, the challenger did not reappear... and the second, Warlord Davestro remained at his position.... waiting. Ten minutes passed..... then 15. Whereupon, by the accepted rules of dueling, Slider's match would have been called forfeit, with Dalamar clearly leading the challenger. Because this was a Baron's Challenge.... the Warlord Slider had officially named his
second as Davestro..... and the purpose of a second, is to fill in should the primary dueler be unable to continue.... and so, in round 8 Warlord Davestro stepped into the ring against the winded Overlord.

Davestro was granted the remaining fancies left unused by Slider... and he began with a vicious thrust at the exhausted and hurting Overlord. Dalamar, quickly circ parried, and took the lead 3.5-1. The next round saw blood fly as the men met with hi/lo cuts... and once more Dalamar's leg was attacked.

Davestro began a comeback in the 11th round with a circ parry that deflected the thrust by Dalamar, and the match was 4.5-2.5 in favor of the Overlord.

In the 12th round, Overlord Dalamar cunningly circ parried, expecting a blow to his leg once more, and sure enough, Warlord Davestro had indeed cut lo.... the Intercession Match was won by the wounded Overlord 5-2.5 in 12 rounds!

Baroness Ellisa Morgan retains her ring and title in a match that will not soon be forgotten by any who witnessed it!

Dalamar was taken from the Battlefield in great pain, and unknown health.

First time that's happened... To bad I was sleeping through it all... but it would have been a sight indeed.

Excelent dueling Overlord Dalamer... as always.
