Results o' the Warlord's Tournament

Ladies, Gentlemen and Creatures o' the Swords......

Be it known that across the span o' two nites did the Warlords battle fer the top prizes o' the 6th Baronial Ring and the O'erlord's Challenge. It was an interestin' two nites indeed seein' Xavior remain undefeated ta the Tourney's end. A valiant effort by Elle who came thru the loser's bracket ta take on the undefeated Xeric, bestin' 'im in the first duel but the lad 'ad enough left ta take the second duel as 'is own. Xeric, by rights o' the Tourney
rules did win finally the choice o' the prize and did claim the 6th ring leavin' Elle wi' the O'erlords Challenge which she did in turn negate 'er claim sayin' there would be nae challenge. Xeric 'as one week ta declare 'is alignment.

Firstly, congratulations to all that participated.... farbearin' a few that wi' an utter lack o' sportsmanship, may nae be allowed ta enter the next Tourney e'en if their rank allows. I was nae pleased at the lack o' respect shown ta maself or the other participants. I am nae one ta take lightly disrespect ta this sport or ta ana that force their politics or else on anaothers and disruptions in ma Tournaments willna be tolerated. Check yer egos and
policies at the door. I do 'ope I 'ave made clear expectations o' be'avior and manners that will be adhered ta at the next Tournament. Remember, the Tournies are a privilege, nae a right.

This includes the Officiators, correct? I certainly hope you're ready to punish those who call these tournements when they show a severe lack of respect to the duelists.

((Now..I've stated it on the OOC boards, but it seems none of you care to read those. Gnort..there is much that many could take offence with you, yet I see none that do so. Caleb's attitude is strickly IC. You, of all people, should recognize this.

Of those that I have heard from, none has a problem with how Caleb is played do to the fact that they know its IC. I'm sorry if you are not use to a hard-arse as a caller. If you feel that you must state something, or you take offece, don't be taking other channels trying to get me to change. You need to take that matter up with me, or if you feel that you must send all IC problems to Reiver *though I hate to put him through that*, and if you feel
it is OOC, send them to Sue.

This is the last you will see me post OOC on this IC board, but what has to be said is said. ALL further conversations on this issue I will take to the OOC board and leave it there.

To those that take offect to how Caleb acts, I'm sorry. But it is his character, and that is how I'm going to play him. IC views are not shared OOC, and the intermingle should not be there, as it seems to have been placed.

I am not bein' big 'eaded or tryin' ta be. I am sure ya are referrin' ta maself and regardless o' what ya think, I am glad it gives ya such a warm feelin' inside. I would expect duelers o' this caliber ta act in such a manner fittin' ones o' their station and especially at Tournaments. Ma apologies if' ya feel elsewise but I am there ta make sure that things dont get out o' 'and fer one, guess next Tourney there will need ta be posted bouncers ta
keep the rowdies in check so that there aint ana misconceptions o' ma role as the Lead Official fer the Tourney.

I 'ave always been fair enuff wi' all 'ere and the ones that do know me should be able to verify that wi' out a doubt and... also know the way I expect ya ta conduct yerself when I am officiatin' whether it be a regular duelin' nite, challenge match or the Warlord's Tourney. Nae matter which, I expect that the respect or courtisies o' the sports be shown due the officials that is expected ta be shown ta the duelists...it goes both ways and I 'ave
ne'er failed to make sure that the thought remains foremost in ma mind. Appears mebbe ma doubts in the Arena may 'ave been truely founded but I keep the faith ta stay. Dont kill that in one.

I don't know most of what you said, but I believe I understand what you mean.

I'm not arguing anything other than the whole respect deal has to go both ways.

Respect is not given, it's earned. I support punishing patrons who cause trouble, so long as punishing an official who causes trouble is included.

I don't want it going one way. If you're going to do something, to it fully.

You'll notice in my message I did not single anyone out. You'll notice I referred in a plural sense. You'll notice I did not refer to a single tournement.

I never asked nor implied that I needed my hand to be held, so you'll excuse me if I don't bother with that. If I have a problem with you out of uniform, rest assured I will deal with you personally.

However if I have issues with your professionalism in uniform, I will follow proper procedures, as I have always done.

Do not feel you are someone special simply because of a uniform. Respect is earned. Treat one with respect, you'll get it, treat one poorly, then you must be prepared to deal with what comes. In uniform, it's through superiors. Out of uniform... well, I really don't care now, do I?

It does, however, entertain me that you've chosen to single me out for my words. I wonder why that is. Ah well, no loss.

I would first like to congratulate Xeric on a tournament well won. He fought well and deserved a victory. May he hold the sixth with honor. And as recorded, I won the right to challenge and also the right to refuse challenge -- the latter of which I choose out of respect and admiration for my current Overlord.

Also, to Altara, I applaud any decision you and the other callers make toward the operation and exclusion of certain parties in future tournaments. Perhaps it is because I have what one might call a "personal interest" in what happened at the tournament, but I agree that such disrespectful conduct should not go unnoticed.

I myself am still trying to figure out the motivation behind the Egyptian's rather heinous actions. In fact, I'm sure there are more than a few of us that are interested... Perhaps he would like to enlighten us.
