((Going along with the Bar's story, these events have taken place some weeks ago. It is posted under a different subject as it is not a direct part of the bar's construction, but is a part of the whole story.))

He had just gotten back from his breif vacation when word arived from a Mr. Jake Thrash. He was told the bid had been approved and work on the bar was already under way. Jake requested to see him as soon as he was availible so they could go over the details of the carving he would be doing. Dal chuckled. He had fogotten all about the bar due to some events that had happened lately. But he did offer to do the job and intended to do so. He wrote a breif reply to set up a meeting and sent it off.

He exited the Red Orc Brewery with a stack of papers and scrolls and drawings. His meeting with Jake had been quick and productive. They got right down to business and discussed everthing he was to do to the bar. Jake told him the type of carvings he wanted done, where on the bar he thought they would look best, and other little details about the work. Jake had told him up front that he disliked all forms of magic and did not want anyused, he agreed but told himslef that a few protective spells might be nice to avoid future mishaps that might result in the bar being destroyed again. He get back to his tower and jotted down the spells he thought would be helpful.

The small list became quite long.
A spell to help the lacquer dry a bit faster then normal.
Something to keep the dust off of it during the lacquer stage.
A regenerating spell to fix minor nicks and scratches that could form from normal use as well as drunk and angry patrons.
Maybe even something to armor the bar against such damage.
A spell to make the bar fireproof.A spell to make the bar water resistant.
Perhaps make one of the cabinets magicly protected to hold Goon's stuff.

Note to self. Perhaps get the aid of another mage to help with the spells. Maybe Syous or Eros would have some spare time when all the casting must be done. Remember to ask them when the time comes around. With that being done, he set to the task of making a list of the tools he would need for the carving and the items he would need for the spells. He then made note of where to get everything and what it would cost. He didn't mind paying for the stuff, he would welcome the practice. He put the list aside on top of a very large pile of papers and set back to other things that needed hisattention.
