Considering an intent to challenge is not binding, least of all, "a proper challenge," rather instead it merely gives the "intender" a reason to air a grievance, this is a matter so trivial and pointless (not the grievance, the "intent") how can there be any more honor in this "intent" than any other method used to air a grievance?
Please note I did not say the matter was handled dishonorably, either. However, I do think Drakewyn had some self-serving motivation to publicly call out Var, and she may (or may not, I do not know) be justified.
For as long as I can remember Drakewyn as a Warlord with more than a few peer wins, she has reminded us at near every opportunity how she has so many peer wins and how wonderful she is with the blade and how it will be a matter of time and a matter of reason and conviction when she finally graces us with a challenge. Admittedly, I grow weary of the build up to this grand event and felt cheated when the closest we get to seeing this grand duelist make
her mark in history is delayed... again.
It is not a matter of honor or dishonor to announce what you intend to do or brag about the fact you can do it or for how long you have had the capability for doing so.
Honor is in acting; do not trivialize it into anything less than that.

But has Drake not acted as much as she is able to right now? She has let the Baron, and the community know of her intent, rather than sit quietly and wait to "act" until the moment when she leaps into the ring, sword in hand. In my eyes, announcing an intent to challenge falls in much the same category as posting a challenge on the message boards...not a required step, but one appreciated... and sometimes, more so in this case than in the case of
challenges, bemoaned.

No, she has stated her INTENT to act. Stating intentions to act and actually carrying through with the act are two totally different things. So far, she has done nothing more and has now established a pattern of doing no more but talk about her ample requirements and allude to private justifications.
Enough of the build-ups. Challenge or do not challenge. How hard does this have to be?
At this point, I am through with this topic. Agree with me or do not agree with me, I do not care. I have repeated myself twice and can only assume that the questions asked of me are not to foster understanding, but rather, to try to continue debating the point counter to mine by saying the same thing said earlier.
In a nutshell: Person A thinks stating intents to challenge are honorable, Person B does not. Has either side of the argument been swayed to each other's side? No. Is it likely to happen after several more rewordings of what was already said? No. Point to continuing? None.
