It's time for another......Nuetral Viewpoint from da Fala....
"I would like to quote from the Standings from the 8th day of this month:
Jonalyn 0: 1: 0: 6/8/99."
Thanks for providing the fact Khrenaste Mnw'lkr on with the rant.
Jonalyn is practically a inactive title holder in the DoS. I've never heard of the lady holding rank above commoner but it is still a rank. The lady Jonalyn does alot of writing up in here and most of it is based on fact but what gets everyone's panties in a bundle is the inactiveness. I'm sure I am not the first to admit that I dislike inactive duelers who hold such high positions or titles. This community does stem off from the dueling ya know. So
if I had a point somewhere in here I hope whoever might read this found it. Jonalyn has been given both nice compliments and vile insults in the past but as long as she don't get her arse in da rings mo often the hardcore duelin types aint gonna take her word for nuthin.

Golden,
If the officials take action to avoid this from happening again or becoming an issue again, and with the Baron's Council prescedent set to be law, then I am happier for the outcome for the community dispite my own stained career.

Jonalyn has held the rank of swordsman. Regardless, Jona knows what she is talking about, and one's right to speak shouldn't be limited to their participation in the rings.

<<and with the Baron's Council prescedent set to be law, then I am happier for the outcome for the community dispite my own stained career>>
Elijah, your not a matyr. How many times do I have ta tell ya prescedence was set long ago with challengers before you. Perhaps you'd like to fall back ta Jaycy's challenge again, well, Helix overruled our tradition and let her challenge past. No one knows why, nor do we have power currently to change it.
Just accept da plain, simple fact you made an error likes others before you, and like da others you are now paying for it. It doesn't reflect on you as a person, only on you as a dueler.

Well, let's see what we have...in one corner, Elijah is bellowing conspiracy, cause hey,we all know how much everyone hates Elijah's guts, right? And as a direct consequence, we got people running up to shout out the dueling record of one Jonalyn Starfare. And in the other corner, we have Huma, ever the tenacious one, enlisting the aid of an elite team of British archaeologists in order to dig up the Dalamar-Huma conflict of oh so many moons past,
and as a direct consequence of *that*, we got bad memories flaring up again.
What I am about to attempt will be a politically suicidal move that will ensure that the name of Cassius Gaius Maximius is spoken with shudders of distasteful revulsion for generations to come.
That's right....I'm gonna try and bring this whole conversation back to it's central and original point*gasp*.
The decision is done, fini. The Council has spoken. And while it's perfectly in your rights to disagree with what was decided, it's not gonna change anything. Ecore made a simple mistake,
and at first, it was under control. The invalid peer win situation was handled. It was Ecore's coming back and demanding he get the Ring back, despite having *already surrendered it*,
that is dishonorable and totally lacking any common sense. If he would have left well enough alone, we wouldn't be discussing this. From what I understand, the Council was set to vote in his favor before he decided to act like a childe and throw the Ring away, then top that by asking for it back. With him having already surrendered it, he virtually forced their hand to declare the whole thing invalid, give the Seventh back to Daelin, and just erase
the whole episode from history. What other choice was there, to leave it hanging for two months til the next Warlord's Tournament? To paraphrase the words of one of the Barons, "You can't go half and half. To say Elijah beat Daelin fairly is to say it was valid". Now, you could do that...it's a simple mistake, we're talking hours here....but what if they did? Ecore had retired it officially, he dug his hole...you're stuck with a vacant ring. I think
I've beaten this into your collective heads. Now, Warlords..if you dislike the Baronial Council's decisions...beat a Baron. It's that simple. I know that's what I plan to do. And ranks below that...just duel your hearts out, and get to Warlord. This isn't a democracy. It's just an open-shot oligarchy where
you don't get impaled for saying what you think.

I made my decision to reinstate Daelin on a few simple statements.
Either Ecore's challenge was valid, or it was not. Either Ecore holds the ring, or Daelin does. There is no in-between.
And this was nothing personal against Ecore. If the same situation happened with anyone and I was given the chance to vote, I would vote the same way. This was in no way a witch hunt or making an example of someone. It's enforcing the rules.

Ah Ecore... you really do know how to let out a shriek of a scream and then try to convince everyone that you shouted 'wolf'.

Here's an idea...
everybody with an opinion...get a room, get face to face and argue at will. Leave this cork alone for things of importance...like garage sales and weddings and stuff.
