The tournament starts tonight at 9 PM in the Arena. If you punk out on me and don't show, I will send Nych out to hunt you down. Please be there on time. We all know how ticked warlords get when they have to wait.

First round match-ups are as follows:
(1)Hood gets the bye.
(2)Face vs. (11)Statman
(5)Sar vs. (8)Jaycy
(6)Gim vs. (7)Dalila
(4)Nova vs. (9)E
(3)Sneggle vs. (10)Argus

After each round, the brackets will be reshuffled with the highest rank always getting the lowest rank. Byes will go to the highest rank who hasn't recieved one yet. My husband tells me this is the best way for me to do it so I don't end up screwing a bunch of stuff up.

Well, well.

Lord Maximus, as one who has spent his entire tenure within these halls acting as a mouthpiece for whomever's favour you wish to curry, your comments about Mrs. Jericho are, to say the least, ironic.

If nothing else, one might note that Mrs. Jericho does her job without succumbing to the temptations of overweening ego. That, in and of itself, calls into question your assertion that "I've seen better."

Never mind that complaining about "crass comments" being made in regard to a "bloodsport" is patently silly. It is a bloodsport; it is crass by definition.

Ah, well. At least the Eighth is now on the hand of someone who has more respect for it than for himself.

Ian Rex.

"Well, well.

"Lord Maximus, as one who has spent his entire tenure within these halls
acting as a mouthpiece for whomever's favour you wish to curry"

A definite mistake. More of a mistake involving some people than others.

"If nothing else, one might note that Mrs. Jericho does her job without
succumbing to the temptations of overweening ego."

What overweening ego? I wanted to duel in the Warlord's Tournament. I wanted a challenge in the ring. No one was challenging me. So I put the ring up, to try and rewin it. If I failed, like I did..well, that is the fortunes of the ring. The ring fell in decent hands, I'm not griping. I have no regrets, and I don't see why
enlivening the Warlord's Tournament and actually dueling for it shows less respect than sitting on it for months like I did with my last ring.

I did not do this for ego..although apparently, some people wish to make it look thus. I did it because I like dueling for a cause. If this doesn't sound like the Cassius Gaius Maximius you knew, well..things change, I guess.

"Ah, well. At least the Eighth is now on the hand of someone who has more
respect for it than for himself"

I'll always be puzzled over why I once cared so much over your opinion.

That overweening ego, apparently; that you thought I was somehow referring to you when I was clearly discussing Mrs. Jericho's attitude in contrast with others who have been officials within these halls speaks volumes, does it not?

Because I am always right, or at least admit my error when I am not.

This, clearly, is a character trait which you've long since decided is passé and unfashionable, which probably explains why your comment required the use of the past tense.

Hm. My apologies then.
